Below you’ll find answers to the questions we get asked the most about applying to and living at Hendrick House.

Yes! Hendrick House allows early arrivals for the 2024-2025 school as early as Saturday, August 17th. There is a $65/night extra fee to move in early that includes meals.
Our official move in day for the 2024-2025 school year is Thursday, August 22nd.
Hendrick House allows our incoming residents to select their own rooms and roommates within our My Hendrick House system. As rooms and roommates are selected, the system notifies residents in real-time by email of their rooms.
This is a normal concern. In our online application process, numerous questions are asked to help in matching roommates, and students may request a specific roommate, too. Every possible effort is made to accommodate those requests and preferences. Complete information is necessary to make the best possible roommate selection.
Once room assignments have been issued, it is very difficult to make changes to these assignments. Making one change to meet the needs of a student after the assignments have been issued may affect up to three or four other people. But, in extreme cases, room changes can be accommodated.
In addition to the room furniture, Hendrick House provides each student with a mattress pad, telephone, toilet paper, and wastebasket. Students should bring a pillow, blanket, sheets and pillowcases, towels, bedspread, soap, laundry detergent, personal items, and a small study lamp for the bedside.
We have a new partner, Campus Fridges, where you can rent one of their refrigerator/microwave units for your room. Check out our Amenities section to learn more!
Hendrick House also offers a linen service where we provide you fresh linens every other week delivered right to your room. There is a small fee for this service.
All of the beds within our East building and West tower are Twin XL. When purchasing sheets for your bed, please purchase Twin XL sheets.
In addition to maintaining the common areas of Hendrick House, our full time housekeeping staff, at no additional cost, also visit your room weekly for cleaning. They vacuum, take out the trash, clean and disinfect your bathroom, add toilet paper and do light dusting.
We’ve tried to include as many add-on costs as possible within our contract price so you’re not surprised upon arrival. However, optional items like in-door bike room access, parking, staying over the Fall, Winter and Spring breaks, and linen service are charged separately. Residents who do not wish these extra features do not have to pay for them.
Hendrick House offers several payment plans. We allow residents to pay their contract for the semester or the full academic year. We divide the payments over 10 installments with manageable charges. Using the My Hendrick House portal, residents can see their balance at any time and can make payments. Within the system portal, residents can also sign up for our free recurring payment process where a credit card is entered into a secure portal and then as payments are due, the card is charged.
Hendrick House does not charge fees on credit card payments.
Security is extremely important to the well being of the HH residents. We recently invested in new electronic locks throughout our buildings as well as adding 24 hour security cameras covering the inside and outside of the building. The main entrance is open during the day and is locked at 6:30 p.m. nightly. All other exterior doors are locked at all times. Both the east and west buildings of Hendrick House are protected by a sprinkler system. Residents are trained each semester in fire evacuation procedures.
All Hendrick House mattress pads are extra thick with a 7.5 oz. fill.
The mattresses in our east building are 8 ft long by 37″ wide and the mattresses in our west tower are 6 ft 7 1/2″ long by 37″ wide.
